Eric Boullier starts his third year as a F1-manager. Two years ago he got three podiums, last season two. However he still misses the bull's eye.
Kimi Räikkönen replaces now Robert Kubica, which whom Boullier experienced his first victorious race.
Räikkönen got Lotus the fastest laptime in both the winter test's first and last day.
What does the team manager expect from his Finn driver?
– That Kimi will be in the same positions as he was when winter tests ended. Kimi is very fast on one lap and also very strong in race simulation with race pace. Kimi has fitted into the team really well and he leads it the way he wants, which is clearly a good way. What I expect even more is that he will once again become a happy racing driver. We will see that when the season takes off. I have a strong belief that this team and Kimi is successful, Bouillier said to Turun Sanomat.
Is there a podium place in sight in Australia GP?
– We can't know that before we start driving in Melbourne. Some drove with a little fuel in tests whereas some didn't even reduce the fuel. If we are in positions where we can drive for podiums, then I'm very happy. Sometimes racing situations make life easier and you get a trophy. Last year we started the season well but now we want to get everything to run properly to the end of the year, Boullier defined.
